At Shadowbrook Labradors, we typically breed one to two litters per year. However, there are years where we will not have any puppies at all. This is due to family commitments or as a result of keeping our colony numbers down to provide the attention our dogs need and desire. We strive to produce healthy, sweet tempered and biddable Labradors with high trainability. This allows each of our puppies to become devoted companions, thus enriching their family's lives for many years to come.

Our top priority in our breeding program is to improve our lines. Puppies born at Spring Dell Farm are raised in our home and are well socialized before they go their new families between 7 and 8 weeks of age. All of our puppies are micro chipped, receive their first set of shots, and have been wormed three times before leaving our home. Our puppy’s welfare is our highest concern. It is for this reason that we try and match our puppy’s temperaments and energy levels with potential family’s life style and expectations. However, the decision of which puppy you want to take home is ultimately yours.

All of our puppies depart with a puppy packet that includes pictures, a pedigree, and copies of clearances on both parents. In addition, their is information on when they were wormed and when they had their first shot. Also included is the AKC registration form, reading material, and a list of items that you will need to properly care for your new family member. Each puppy is sent home with a Purina Pro Plan Puppy Starter Kit and a small bag of Pro Plan Chicken puppy food.

We are dedicated to each of our puppies and their families for their entire life. That is why we make ourselves available night and day to answer any questions that you might have. In addition, we offer lifetime board and care for each puppy that we breed. This eliminates the worry of who will care for your new family member should you go on holiday or be called away for other reasons.

All of our Labradors in our breeding program are certified for orthopedic soundness through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips and elbows. Their eyes are certified through CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation). Finally, our puppies are placed on AKC Limited Registration to protect their welfare and to protect the integrity of the style of dog that we have worked so hard to breed over the past 20 years.
